The highly anticipated PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2023 (PMWI 2023) is just around the corner, and fans are eagerly awaiting the action-packed tournament. The slot list for this prestigious event, which is one of the two flagship global tournaments of PUBG Mobile, has been unveiled, along with other exciting details. Notably, the rankings will be updated hourly, providing fans with real-time updates on their favorite teams' performances.
Unfortunately, due to ongoing circumstances, no Indian teams will be able to participate in PMWI 2023. Speculations were circulating that Tencent was taking its time to re-launch BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) in India, but all doubts were put to rest when the officials announced that the defending PMWI champion, Vampire Esports, has received a special invite slot.
PMWI 2023, hosted by Gamers8, is scheduled to take place from 11th to 16th July. It boasts an impressive prize pool of $3 million USD, attracting the best PUBG Mobile teams from around the world. The tournament will consist of two phases: the All-Stars stage and the main event.
During the All-Stars stage, teams from 18 regions will compete for the opportunity to secure a spot in the main event. Each region's team with the highest number of votes will advance to the All-Stars stage, which will be held from 11th to 13th July. The top six teams from the All-Stars stage will then qualify for the main event, scheduled for 14th to 16th July in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The invited teams for the main event include the winners of the ongoing PMPL Championships in South Asia, Americas, Europe, and Middle East & Africa. Additionally, the top two teams from the PMPL 2023 Spring South East Asia will secure a slot. The remaining slots will be filled by the top two teams from PEL 2023 Spring, the champions of PUBG Mobile Showdown Japan and Korea, and the winner of the Saudi E League. These ten teams, along with the top five teams from the All-Stars stage, will fiercely battle it out over the three-day event for a chance to claim their share of the massive $3 million USD prize pool.
Teams such as Twisted Minds, Tianba, Six Two Eight, Alter Ego Ares, ShineLikeDiamond, and the reigning PMWI 2022 and Afterparty Champion Vampire Esports have already secured their spots in the main event, guaranteeing an intense showdown between some of the world's finest PUBG Mobile teams.
To determine the teams for the All-Stars stage, a voting event will be conducted from 26th to 30th May in all 14 regions. The rules for voting are as follows:
1) The PMPL Spring region teams are eligible for the 2023 PMWI All-Stars Vote.
2) The team with the most votes from each of the 14 PMPL regions will qualify for the 2023 PMWI All-Stars Stage.
- If the team with the most votes is also qualified for the PMWI Main Tournament, they will participate in both the PMWI All-Stars and Main Tournament.
- If this team ranks in the top 5 of the PMWI All-Stars Stage, the sixth team of the All-Stars Stage will advance to the PMWI Main Tournament.
In addition to the voting process, PUBG MOBILE players at level 9 or above will have the opportunity to complete various in-game tasks to obtain vote tickets. These vote tickets can be exchanged for rewards, including the exclusive
"2023 PMWI Avatar." The official PUBG MOBILE Esports social media channels will also provide daily in-game codes to redeem vote tickets, and PMPL teams will share special team codes for users to exchange for vote tickets every day.
