PUBG Mobile Takes Center Stage as the Sole Mobile Esports in Asian Games 2022 - Schedule Announced!

 Macau, China - The highly anticipated Road to Asian Games (RDAG) 2022 program, jointly organized by the Olympic Council of Asia and the Asian Electronic Sports Federation, is set to kick off on June 15th in Macau, China PR. This program, which holds the same level of prestige as the Asian Games, aims to showcase the pinnacle of Esports across various Asian countries and regions. Among the exciting lineup of competitions, PUBG Mobile emerges as a key player in the mobile gaming evolution.

PUBG Mobile Asian Games Version


From June 22nd to June 26th,2023, teams from different countries and regions in Asia will gather to compete in the PUBG Mobile Asian Games Version. This version of the game offers players a unique and immersive experience, combining elements of real-sport games such as parachuting, cross-country shooting, and racing. The gameplay mirrors the sportsmanship found in events like triathlons, resulting in an Esports competition that truly represents the spirit of athleticism.


In each game, 16 players will form teams of four, working together to complete various stages and missions. These stages include target shooting challenges as well as navigating the track in vehicles. The ranking will be determined based on the order in which the participating teams reach the finish line. PUBG Mobile Asian Games Version is one of the seven official events at the Road to Asian Games 2022, alongside Arena of Valor, Dota 2, EA Sports FIFA, League of Legends, and Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition.


The Road to Asian Games 2022 will commence in Macau, China, with an offline opening ceremony on June 16th, followed by 18 competition days for PUBG Mobile, Arena of Valor, and League of Legends Asian Games versions. Additionally, Dota 2 will hold its competition online for a total of five competition days. The schedule for Dream 3 Kingdoms 2, EA Sports FIFA, and Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition will be announced in due course.

As one of the largest Olympic-level Esports events in Asia, the Road to Asian Games 2022 aims to inspire athletes to thrive in a highly competitive atmosphere while igniting a deep sense of national pride as they proudly represent their countries and regions. The event will bring together participants and top teams from 29 countries and regions across five regions in Asia: East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and West Asia.

Here is the list of participating countries and regions in Asia:


  • East Asia: China PR, Hong Kong (China PR), Japan, Korea REP, Macau (China PR), Chinese Taipei.

  • West Asia: Bahrain, IR Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia.

  • Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

  • Southeast Asia: Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam.

  • South Asia: India, Nepal, Sri Lanka.
