The highly anticipated 2024 PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup has officially announced key details, set to unfold in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Spanning over eight days, the tournament will feature three stages of intense competition, with elite teams battling it out for a staggering prize pool of $3 million!
Tournament Structure
The 2024 PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup will be structured into three distinct stages: the group stage, survival stage, and grand finals. A total of twenty-four top-tier teams from professional leagues worldwide will clash head-to-head, vying for one of sixteen spots in the grand finals and, ultimately, the prestigious championship trophy!
Team Slots
During the group stage, the twenty-four slots will be allocated as follows: sixteen through professional league qualifications and eight through invitations. Among these slots, two teams from the Chinese region will proudly compete: the champion of the 2024 PEL Spring Season and the team ranked first in the annual points of the 2024 PEL Spring Season. Additionally, the champion of the 2024 PUBG Mobile Esports Global Open will secure a place in the group stage!
Group Stage:
- 24 teams will participate.

- The top 12 teams will advance to the Main Stage.
- The bottom 12 teams will proceed to the Survival Stage.

- SOUTH EAST ASIA: 5 TEAMS
- PMSL s2 - 4 TEAMS
- PMCL s2 - 1 Team
- PMSL CSA: 4 teams
- PMPL EMEA: 4 teams
- PMPL AM: 3 teams
- 2 Special Invited Teams
- PEL : 2 TEAMS
- 1 PEL Spring Champion
- 1 PEL Points Leader
- Japan League : 1 Team
- Pro Series Korea: 1 Team
- PMGO Champion
- PMRC KR VS JP - 1 Team
Survival Stage:
- 16 teams will compete.
- Comprises the bottom 12 teams from the Group Stage and 1 team from each PMSL region (SEA, Americas, CSA, EMEA).

- The top 4 teams will advance to the Main Stage.
- The bottom 12 teams will be eliminated.
Main Stage:
- 16 teams will compete.
- Consists of the top 12 teams from the Group Stage and the top 4 teams from the Survival Stage.

PEL Region Slot Rules:
- Champion of the 2024 PEL Spring Season
- Team ranked first in the annual points of the 2024 PEL Spring Season, with an exception if overlapping with the spring season champion, in which case, it will defer to the second in points.
- In the event that Shanghai NV emerges victorious in the 2024 PUBG Mobile Esports Global Open and qualifies for the spring season grand finals, the slot will be awarded to Shanghai NV. Otherwise, it will be deferred to the team ranked first in points, excluding the two formal slots mentioned above.
