German esports organization Berlin International Gaming (BIG) has announced a new partnership with BWI GmbH, a prominent IT services provider in Germany. This collaboration marks an exciting development for both parties, with BWI’s logo set to appear on BIG’s jerseys for their CS2 and Trackmania teams.

BWI GmbH is noteworthy for its role in managing IT systems for the German Federal Ministry of Defence and the German Armed Forces. Established in 2006 through the HERKULES project, BWI operates as a public-private partnership owned by the Ministry of Defence. The partnership with BIG is seen as a strategic move for BWI to enhance its employer branding and increase visibility among the esports community.

As part of the agreement, BIG and BWI will work together on various in-person activations at events to promote each other. Although specific details about these activations were not disclosed, the partnership is expected to include joint activities and appearances at fairs and events.

Daniel Finkler, CEO & Co-Founder of BIG, expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership: “We are very pleased with BWI’s trust in us as their first partner in gaming and esports. In addition to digital formats and support for our globally established Trackmania and Counter-Strike 2 Male and Female Teams, we plan joint activities and events. We are excited to have BWI by our side and look forward to our shared future.”

This partnership builds on BIG’s recent efforts to enhance its employer branding, following a similar agreement with software development company SoftwareOne earlier this year. The collaboration with BWI was facilitated by the sports and esports agency SPORTFIVE.
