Fans of Fortnite can now enjoy fresh new skins for the iconic Marvel superheroes Deadpool and Wolverine, available as paid content within the game. These new additions are part of Fortnite's Chapter 5, Season 3 content, and they reflect the characters’ classic comic book appearances.

The timing of these releases coincides perfectly with the U.S. theatrical premiere of the much-anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine team-up movie, which hit theaters on July 26. With Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reprising their beloved roles, the film has sparked renewed excitement among Marvel Cinematic Universe fans, achieving an impressive 97% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes shortly after its release.

Pen & Ink Skins

According to the official Fortnite Twitter account, both skins feature a “(Pen & Ink)” designation in their names, highlighting their design inspired by traditional hand-drawn comic art. Players can use these skins across various game modes, including Fortnite Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing.

This isn't the first time Deadpool and Wolverine have made appearances in Fortnite. Deadpool debuted in the game in 2020, while Wolverine followed just four months later with his first skin. The most recent Wolverine skin, the Weapon X variant, was introduced on July 2, making this new release a continuation of their popular presence in the game.

Details on the New Skins

To acquire the Deadpool skin, players will need to purchase it as part of the Deadpool & Wolverine set for 2,000 V-Bucks. This set includes several extras, such as Deadpool's Katanas pickaxe, a Wrap-Pool wrap for weapons, a "What?! No Way!" emote, and a Headpool back bling. The Deadpool skin also features some fun cosmetic variations, including one option that partially removes his mask, allowing players to see his nose, mouth, and chin while keeping his eyes covered. Another humorous option allows players to stick an arrow through Deadpool’s head.

Similarly, the Wolverine skin is also available for 2,000 V-Bucks, along with its set of extras. Although it lacks the same level of customization as Deadpool’s skin, Wolverine's version includes a maskless variant that can be used in LEGO Fortnite. The extras for Wolverine consist of a Wolverine's Claws pickaxe, a Classic Yellow & Blue Wrap, and the Snikt-ing Go Time emote. Players will also receive a comical Wade's Prank back bling, featuring drawings of Deadpool taped onto Wolverine’s back.

For those looking to grab both sets, players can bundle their purchases and save 400 V-Bucks, making it an enticing option for fans eager to showcase their favorite superheroes.

As Fortnite continues to expand its roster with exciting new content, the addition of Deadpool and Wolverine skins offers players a fun way to celebrate the characters' latest adventures while enjoying the thrilling gameplay the title is known for.
