Esports and metaverse company Infinite Reality has entered into a significant five-year agreement with the Global Esports Federation (GEF). Under this new partnership, Infinite Reality has been designated as GEF’s Global Partner for Immersive Experiences. The collaboration will focus on creating digital versions of GEF events through a specialized platform developed by Infinite Reality.
Infinite Reality, known for its ownership of ReKT Global—parent company to esports organizations Rogue and the Carolina Royal Ravens—acquired ReKT Global in 2022 for $470 million (~£360 million). In addition to its esports ventures, Infinite Reality also owns the Drone Racing League and is active in the metaverse space.
The partnership with GEF aims to leverage Infinite Reality’s technological expertise to deliver a range of immersive experiences. This will include digital versions of GEF events, accessible via a custom platform that allows users to watch and interact with the events through their mobile phones or PCs. While specific details about the platform's features were not disclosed, it is expected to enhance viewer engagement with GEF events.
This announcement follows GEF’s recent appointments of NODWIN and Cinematic as its official portfolio management companies and the selection of Peru as the host country for the 2025 Global Esports Games.
