Pokemon GO Leak Reveals New Info About Upcoming Feature

A recent leak has revealed that Bulbasaur will be the first Pokémon to receive the Dynamax treatment in Pokémon GO. This news comes as part of ongoing updates to the game, which continues to introduce new features and Pokémon to enhance player experience.

Since its launch, Pokémon GO has added various features, but players have long awaited the introduction of Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon, which were first seen in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Dynamax temporarily increases a Pokémon's size and strength, allowing it to use powerful Max Moves, while Gigantamax not only boosts the Pokémon but also changes its appearance, enabling the use of G-Max Moves.

According to the leak from The Pokemod Group, Bulbasaur, the iconic starter Pokémon from the Kanto region, is set to be the first to receive Dynamax capabilities in Pokémon GO. The leak indicates that Bulbasaur is associated with the code name “Bread,” related to Dynamax, and classified as “GROUP_1” in the configuration, which might hint at a raid-like system with varying difficulty levels.

Although some players were surprised that Pikachu wasn’t chosen as the first Dynamax Pokémon, many agreed that Bulbasaur’s status as the first Pokémon in the Regional Pokédex makes sense for this honor. This leak aligns with previous discoveries by Pokemoders, who found evidence of Dynamax and Gigantamax forms coming to the game. Additionally, a recent teaser from Pokémon GO featured Dynamaxing Wartortle, further hinting at the forthcoming feature.

While no official release date for Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon has been announced, the leak suggests that these features are on their way. Until then, Pokémon GO players can enjoy other in-game features like Shadow Pokémon, which appear after defeating Team GO Rocket, and Mega Evolutions, which alter Pokémon appearances and abilities in a manner similar to the mainline games. For Mega Evolutions, players need specific Mega Energy for each Pokémon, contrasting with the Mega Stones required in the core series.

As always, details from leaks are subject to change until officially confirmed by Niantic. Pokémon GO enthusiasts eagerly await further updates on these exciting new features.
