Fortnite fans have been treated to a sneak peek of a new Deadpool-themed skin that has been teased through a recent social media post. The sketch, which humorously features a variant of the popular in-game character Fishstick dressed in a Deadpool bodysuit, suggests an exciting crossover addition to the game.

New Deadpool Skin Teased

On August 11, Fortnite's official Twitter account shared a brief video showcasing a rough color drawing of what some fans are calling "Fishpool." This design appears to combine Fishstick with Deadpool's iconic costume. The footage also shows a person dressed in a Deadpool costume reacting in surprise, adding to the playful nature of the tease. The video was originally captured during the Disney Horizons Live presentation at D23, a major fan event held in Anaheim, California.

The Twitter post includes audio of Deadpool's voice saying, "No spoilers. I want to see it in the game. Is he awesome-looking?" While the tweet doesn't explicitly confirm that "Fishpool" will be added to Fortnite, the playful hint has certainly stirred excitement among the game's community.

Fortnite's Recent Superhero Crossovers

This new teaser follows Fortnite’s recent rollout of Deadpool and Wolverine-themed content. To coincide with the release of the Deadpool & Wolverine movie, which premiered on July 26 and has since grossed over $1 billion worldwide, Fortnite introduced various Deadpool and Wolverine skins, emotes, weapons, and accessories. The movie has been a major success, earning a 95 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes as of August 10.

In addition to these superhero skins, Fortnite has also featured other unique mashups. For example, Peely the banana recently had a crossover with Wolverine, resulting in the Peelverine Plush Back Bling, which players could acquire by tuning into the D23 livestream or catching its replay until August 16.

What’s Next for Fortnite

The Deadpool-themed content is part of a broader trend of superhero crossovers in Fortnite. As the game prepares for the launch of Chapter 5 Season 4 on August 16, fans can expect a Marvel-centric theme with Dr. Doom as a primary antagonist. This season promises to bring even more Marvel characters and elements into the Fortnite universe.

With the continuous influx of superhero-themed content and creative crossovers, Fortnite remains a dynamic and ever-evolving game, keeping fans engaged and entertained with its innovative and collaborative updates.
