Honkai: Star Rail's Moze: Upcoming Balance Changes Revealed

ABHIV

As Honkai: Star Rail gears up for its version 2.5 update, recent leaks have shed light on some significant balance adjustments for the new character Moze. Scheduled to join the roster either in the first or second part of the upcoming update, Moze is set to make a notable entrance as a four-star Lightning unit.

Moze: A Sneak Peek

Moze, recently introduced through a drip marketing campaign, is depicted as a cold-blooded expert in intelligent services. Sporting a traditional assassin's costume with a distinctive purple hood, he belongs to the Path of Hunt, indicating a focus on single-target DPS (damage per second) attacks.

Leaked Balance Changes

According to leaks from HomDGCat, Moze’s kit will see some notable changes:

  • Ultimate Ability: Moze’s ultimate, Dash In Gash Out, will now deal Lightning damage equal to 270% of his attack power, an increase from the previous 250%. This boost is expected to enhance his single-target damage significantly
  • Technique Adjustment: Moze's technique will now provide a 30% damage bonus for two rounds instead of one, while the advance of action from his trace Daggerhold will be reduced to 20% from the previous 30%. This change aims to balance his stealth and attack capabilities.
  • Stealth Mode Buff: Moze’s technique includes a stealth mode, during which he becomes undetectable by enemies. The damage bonus gained from attacking in this mode will now last for two rounds, rather than one, making it a more powerful strategic tool.

Summary of Changes

The upcoming updates to Moze’s kit will introduce a slight nerf alongside two buffs. His ultimate ability will become more powerful with increased damage output, while the duration of the damage bonus from his stealth mode will be extended. These adjustments suggest that Moze will be better equipped to handle single-target engagements, reinforcing his role as a DPS specialist.

What’s Next for Moze?

The developers might make further tweaks to Moze’s abilities before his official debut. In addition to Moze, players can also look forward to new characters Feixiao and Lingsha, who will also be introduced in version 2.5. The leaked banner schedule suggests Feixiao and Moze will be available from September 9 to October 1, with Lingsha featured in a limited banner from October 1 to 21.

As the update approaches, fans are eagerly awaiting how these balance changes will impact gameplay and Moze’s performance in the Honkai: Star Rail universe.
