The Honor of Kings Championship, now rebranded for 2024, will take place in Indonesia, featuring a $1 million prize pool (~£784,220). This event will be the grand finale of the 2024 Honor of Kings Global Invitational Series, which began in March.

This year's tournament has been renamed from the Honor of Kings International Championship and will see a reduction in prize money compared to last year. In 2023, the event boasted the second-largest prize pool of any esports competition with $10 million (~£7.8 million). Despite the cut in prize money, the 2024 Championship will still showcase 16 elite teams.

The Championship is the fourth major event in the 2024 Honor of Kings calendar, which has included two league splits and a mid-season competition that was part of the Esports World Cup. Honor of Kings will also be featured in the 2025 and 2026 Esports World Cup events thanks to a new partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation.

This year has been a landmark period for Honor of Kings, marked by expansion and investment. In January, Level Infinite announced a $15 million investment (~£11.7 million) aimed at growing the MOBA's ecosystem and expanding into new global markets.

Additionally, the game's appeal continues to grow internationally. In June 2024, French esports organization Team Vitality joined the Honor of Kings partnership program, further boosting the title's global presence and supporting its development in new regions.
