Blizzard has announced that Overwatch 2’s Venture will receive a “really exciting skin” in Season 14, but fans are unhappy about the long wait. Venture, a Damage hero introduced in Season 10, has quickly gained popularity among players due to their unique move-set. However, since their debut, the skin options for Venture have been limited and mostly basic re-colors, with the Ice Cream skin being the only notable exception.
Currently, Venture has seven skins, six of which are simple variations of their default appearance. The Ice Cream skin, which transforms Venture into an ice cream parlor employee, stands out as the most distinctive option. Unfortunately, there are no new major skins planned for Venture in Seasons 12 or 13, leading to disappointment among fans.
Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller recently addressed the issue on Twitter, acknowledging the fans’ concerns and promising a significant new skin for Venture in Season 14. However, this means players will likely have to wait until late 2024 or early 2025 to access the new skin, depending on the season's timing.
Fans are expressing frustration over the extended wait, with many skeptical about having to wait so long for a quality skin for their favorite character. The community’s reaction highlights the eagerness for new and exciting content for Venture.
The new Venture skin’s distribution method remains uncertain. It could be part of the Season 14 Battle Pass or offered in the shop, with the latter potentially causing further dissatisfaction among fans if it isn’t included in the Battle Pass.
Season 14 is expected to be a significant one for Overwatch 2, not just for the new Venture skin but also for the anticipated debut of a new Tank hero. Overwatch 2 has introduced three Tank heroes since its launch—Junker Queen, Ramattra, and Mauga—and fans are eager to see what new additions the next Tank hero will bring to the game.
