Team BDS has reinforced its dominance in the Rainbow Six: Siege scene by securing a decisive victory at the Esports World Cup: Rainbow Six, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The team’s flawless performance in the grand finals, where they defeated w7m esports with a 3-0 sweep, has earned them the championship title and further solidified their status as the reigning kings of the event.

Entering the tournament as a formidable contender, Team BDS showcased their prowess from the very start. Competing in Group A, they triumphed over Team Cruelty with a 7-4 victory in the upper bracket quarterfinals. In their first encounter with w7m esports during the upper bracket semifinals, Team BDS secured a commanding 7-2 win, advancing them to the Playoffs.

The Playoffs, which featured a best-of-three format leading up to a best-of-five grand final, saw Team BDS continue their impressive form. They first overcame FaZe Clan with a 2-1 victory in the quarterfinals, followed by back-to-back sweeps: a 2-0 win against Team Furia in the semifinals and the grand finals sweep against w7m esports.


Grand Finals Performance


In the grand finals, Team BDS demonstrated their dominance with a map score of 21-6 against w7m esports. After a 7-2 loss on Clubhouse, w7m esports struggled to make an impact on their map pick, Consulate, where they only managed three points before losing again. The final map, Oregon, saw Team BDS cruise to a 7-1 victory, completing the clean sweep and securing the title.

Josh “Yuzus” Pritchard, the lone English player on Team BDS, was named the Rainbow Six Playstation MVP for his standout performance throughout the tournament.


Victories and Rewards


Team BDS’ first-place finish at the Esports World Cup: Rainbow Six earned them the lion’s share of the $2,000,000 prize pool, amounting to $750,000. Additionally, they were awarded 1,000 EWC Club Points. In the club point standings, Team BDS joins other top teams like T1, Selangor Red Giants, Smart Omega Esports, Crazy Raccoon, Alpha 7 Esports, and KPL Dream Team in a seven-way tie for 5th place.

With this victory, Team BDS not only claims their third consecutive Gamers8 title but also cements their legacy as back-to-back-to-back champions of the Esports World Cup: Rainbow Six.
